Residual Values considered local and global aspects of textile heritage and ideas of care, value and preservation. Applied to the gallery glazing, the work rearranged the sewing patterns for a traditional folk costume of the Gorenjska region as monuments or artefacts, cut from preservation grade Tyvek, normally used in storing the textile collections of museums. Exploiting the capacity of dyes to fade in light, the work drew its colour palette from the former sericulture industry of the region and the cherry crops that replaced it. Connecting the Mulberry trees on the street outside with the soft hues on the glazing and drawing with sunlight, the silk left unprotected by Tyvek faded over the course of the exhibition as a subtle marker of time.
